Choosing a type of mat must be done carefully to guarantee its effectiveness. There are 4 major aspects that must be taken into account: material, size, maintenance and design. Below we explain all aspects to help you making the right decision.
1. MATERIAL
The first and most important question to be asked is the purpose of the mat. To determine this, there are some standard questions to be answered.
- Will the mat be used indoor or outdoor?
- What will be the level of traffic?
- Is it a mat for long-term or single use?
- What should be printed on the mat, a detailed logo or an abstract design?

2. SIZE
Also the size plays a role in the effectiveness of the mat. If the mat receives a lot of traffic, it is better to choose a larger format. For entrance mats, we recommend a mat with the same width as the door. In this way there is the least chance that dirt will come in from the outside.

3. MAINTENANCE
Another aspect that should not be ignored, is the maintenance of the mat. Correct maintenance ensures a longer lifespan of the mat. Almost all our products can be washed at 30 degrees, which makes it very easy to maintain. Our vinyl type of mats can just be cleaned with a cloth and some water. Furthermore, it is important to give the floor under the mat sufficient breathing space by cleaning it on a regular basis.
